An Opportunity for New and Continuing Residents of Ranch Resort!

On October 16, 2014, from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., The good folks at Rural Metro have kindly accommodated our request for a tour of their relatively new Fire Station (south of McDonald’s) near town center. Rural/Metro Fire Department is a private company providing high-quality, cost-effective fire service to Rancho Resort and the surrounding areas. During the tour you will be able to view the inside and outside of their fire trucks as well as inside either a Rural Metro or Southwest Ambulance. Included in our visit will be presentations on recommended safety equipment in the home (fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, etc.), as well as what Rural Metro can do for home owner’s regarding snakes, javelinas, etc. Because they are a private company, Rural/Metro Fire Department is not funded by tax dollars. They are a subscription based fire department supported through annual fees by a yearly membership. They will have a representative talk about their subscription service. P.S. No other fire services are available to Rancho Resort in the area. There is no cost for the tour, etc. but if you plan on coming, sign up on the clipboard in the clubhouse lobby so we can inform them, by October 14th, how many residents will be coming. Plan on parking east of McDonald’s and then walking over to the front door of the fire station. Resident Frank Young is coordinating the event and will meet everyone by the front door of the station.
