We will be headed out to the Copper Canyon area – just west of Ft. Huachuca on Thursday, March 6.  We will meet up at the clubhouse at 8am.  According to our info we are looking at about 83 miles one way – not sure about road conditions – but should be a  beautiful drive thru the San Rafael Valley.  We will be mainly looking for specimens of quartz, pyrite, schellite, as well as fluorescent minerals.   Be sure to bring your rock hounding gear (including chisels, hammer, gloves, buckets, etc), also metal detectors if you so choose.  As always, be sure to bring  plenty of water and a snack or lunch for mid day.  There will be a signup sheet in the lobby.  If you have any questions, plz contact Tom M.  (520)207-0140
