Food and Toy Drive

It’s time once again to gather up your canned and boxed foods for the EIGHTH annual Rancho Resort food and toy drive.

Your neighborhood volunteers will be going through the community starting at 10:30am

on Saturday Dec 5^th to collect your donations of food and toys. All food and monetary donations (checks and grocery gift cards) will go to the Sahuarita Food

Bank. Every item and dollar stays in the Sahuarita community. Your check is always most welcome. The food bank, through its coalition in Southern Arizona, gets a lot of bang for your buck. It is estimated that they get $9 of food for every $1 donated! Toys will go to the mission in Nogales or the local fire department for distribution. Each year since 2008, we have topped the donations from the previous year. Can we do it again?

The food bank’s shelves are empty. They need whatever you can give. Every can, box and dollar counts. Your volunteer will send out a reminder to you that week with some ideas for what is needed. Just place your donation under your mailbox before 10:30am Saturday, Dec 5^th for pick-up by your assigned volunteer. Your check or grocery gift card can be placed in an envelope and taped to the area beneath your mailbox. The volunteers are prompt. They will NOT come to your door.
